DHA Guide
The main active ingredient in all sunless tanning products is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). This is a colourless sugar that causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids on the surface of the skin. This produces a brown colour which develops on the skin, resembling a natural tan. DHA is non-toxic and has been approved by both the FDA and the Skin Cancer Foundation, meaning it is a totally safe way to achieve a long lasting tan.
